What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Handle inbound and outbound scheduling calls, addressing customer concerns satisfactorily
  • Communicate with physicians’ offices and nursing staff to gather necessary appointment information
  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain required precertifications/authorizations
  • Accurately collect and enter patient demographic and insurance information for billing
  • Assist patients with scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling appointments as needed

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of two years of related experience in a medical setting, or one year in healthcare call center or customer service, or three or more years in a call center
  • Basic healthcare knowledge is required
  • Must maintain confidentiality of account information at all times
  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred
