What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Conduct clinically based concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient medical records
- Evaluate clinical documentation for quality of care outcomes and reimbursement compliance
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure appropriate clinical documentation of patient care
- Document findings related to inpatient admission criteria and concurrent reviews
- Facilitate effective communication with physicians and hospital management staff
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Medical Graduate, PA, or Nursing Graduate
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting
- Knowledge of care delivery documentation systems and medical record documents
- Strong understanding of pathology and physiology of disease processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
