Job Description

Position: Extraction Technician

Reports to: Extraction Manager & Supervisors

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Extraction Technician reports directly to the Extraction Team Lead and is responsible for aiding in extraction operations. He/she will be responsible for helping the Extraction team carry out the company’s detailed plan to transform the cured plant material into final extract and extract-infused products. The expectation of the Extraction Technician is that he/she will participate in the careful use and maintenance of all lab equipment, tracking of extraction inventory and preparation of final products for delivery.

Job Responsbilities

Filter and perform post processing on CO2 extraction oil

  • Create medicated tinctures, capsules and creams.
  • Help monitor the inventory of supplies necessary for extraction and alert the Extraction Supervisor when supplies are needed.
  • Eventually cross train on all lab equipment involved in extraction operations – distillation, ethanol extraction, solventless exraction, rotovaps.
  • Follow all SOPS as directed by the Extraction Team Lead.
  • Help maintain an environment/culture conducive to efficient and effective extraction operations.
  • Maintain high levels of effort, enthusiasm and efficiency while working.
  • Work closely with compliance to ensure that regulations are met in all areas of extraction and batch records are kept up-to-date.
  • Maintain, clean and organize work area.

Job Requirements

  • Passionate about cannabis extracts and concentrates
  • Familiarity with solventless or ethanol extraction preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience working within cannabis field preferred.
  • Experience working with laboratory equipment preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
