Your Personal Sphere Of Influence
The Chair of Technology and Innovation Management conducts research covering the emergence, development, and commercialization of new ideas and inventions. We try to better understand how various incentive mechanisms, different forms of organizing as well as characteristics of individuals and organizations and their environment influence their innovation activities. The topics of courses offered are aligned with these research topics and are mostly targeting master students.
You will have the opportunity to develop your research topics and to collaborate on existing projects. In terms of methodology, our work is predominantly quantitative, using methods of applied econometrics and increasingly also machine learning. Large data sets typically form the basis of our analyses. You will work with colleagues who are internationally well-connected and regularly publish in top international journals.
The employment duration is 4 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to 4 years if the employer does not terminate it within the first 12 months by submitting a non-extension declaration.
Your Future Tasks
You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:
- You are involved in research projects and scientific studies in the area of Technology and Innovation Management.
- We expect you to finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
- You work on your dissertation and its completion.
- You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
- You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.
This Is Part Of Your Personality
- Completed Master’s degree or Diploma in business administration, economics, statistics or a closely related discipline (completed or close to completion – documents confirming degree completion will be necessary for formal employment)
- Interest in quantitative research methods and where applicable knowledge of database management
- Promising potential for innovative research
- Didactic competences / experience with e-learning
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (C1 Level)
- You are a team player with high social skills
