Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Support officer to manage and oversee our IT infrastructure. This role involves handling IT assets, licenses, and security policies, as well as providing technical support and digital solutions to enhance organizational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem and be capable of managing a variety of IT tasks.
Responsibilities:
IT Asset Management:
- Oversee and maintain IT assets including hardware, software, and licenses. Ensure proper inventory management and compliance with licensing agreements.
Active Directory Management:
- Manage and maintain Active Directory, including user account creation, modification, and deactivation. Ensure proper access control and security settings.
Basic Security Policies:
- Implement and enforce basic security policies to safeguard the organization’s IT infrastructure. Monitor and address potential security threats.
Microsoft Ecosystem Administration:
- Administer and support Microsoft tools and services including Azure, Intune, OneDrive, and SharePoint. Ensure these tools are configured and utilized effectively.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to employees, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity. Offer guidance and training as needed.
Digital Solutions:
- Develop and implement basic digital solutions to support various functions within the organization, ensuring they meet business needs and improve efficiency.
Network Management:
- Monitor and maintain the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot network issues and work with service providers to resolve connectivity problems.
Backup and Recovery:
- Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Regularly test backup procedures to ensure data can be restored in the event of a failure.
Software Installation and Configuration:
- Install and configure software applications as needed, ensuring they meet the organization’s requirements.
- Manage software updates and patches to maintain security and functionality.
User Training and Documentation:
- Develop and provide training materials and documentation for end-users on IT systems and procedures.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance user knowledge and efficiency.
Vendor Management:
- Liaise with vendors and service providers for procurement, support, and troubleshooting of IT equipment and services.
- Evaluate and recommend new technology solutions based on organizational needs.
Compliance and Audits:
- Ensure IT practices comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Participate in audits and assist with preparing documentation for compliance reviews.
System Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Monitor IT systems and infrastructure for performance issues and perform regular maintenance tasks.
- Implement and manage monitoring tools to detect and address potential issues proactively.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft tools and services (Azure, Intune, OneDrive, SharePoint).
- Experience managing Active Directory and implementing security policies.
- Proficiency in network management, backup and recovery solutions, and software configuration.
- Ability to develop and deliver user training and documentation.
- Experience with vendor management and ensuring compliance with IT standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
