About The Role
- As a Treasury Manager in Latam you will manage an organization’s financial resources and ensuring optimal liquidity, cash flow, and financial risk management across various countries with diverse regulatory and economic environments.
What You Will Do
- Oversee the treasury function across multiple countries within the region, ensuring consistency in processes and alignment with corporate financial strategy
- Manage working capital to ensure that the company has sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs
- Manage regional funding requirements, ensuring appropriate liquidity levels and cost-effective access to capital markets
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions within the region.
- Lead the implementation of automation initiatives within the treasury function to enhance efficiency and accuracy. This includes deploying or upgrading Treasury Management Systems (TMS) and other financial technologies that streamline processes such as cash management, reporting, and risk management.
- Identify and implement innovative financial products that align with the company’s strategic goals
- Oversee the management of international payments, ensuring that transactions are processed efficiently and comply with both regional and global standards. This involves managing foreign exchange (FX) transactions, executing FX trades, and mitigating currency risk through hedging strategies.
- Manage bank acceptance schemes within the region, ensuring that trade finance and financing mechanisms are effectively utilized
- Ensure the accurate and timely reporting of the company’s liquidity position, foreign exchange exposure, and overall treasury performance.
- Support the Global Head of Treasury in global reporting, providing accurate and timely information on regional treasury activities to ensure alignment with global treasury initiatives and strategies.
What Do You Need To Succeed
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field is required. Candidates with a degree in any relevant profession are also considered.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in treasury or related financial roles, with at least 3 years of experience leading multi-country treasury operations, preferably within the LATAM region.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with cash flow management specific to the LATAM region, including managing liquidity, working capital, and foreign exchange exposur
- Strong experience in treasury management in LATAM, with a proven track record of supporting global reporting processes and aligning regional activities with global strategies.
- Proficient in the use of financial derivatives for hedging currency and interest rate risks within the LATAM region.
- Proficiency in English
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Treasury Management Systems (TMS) and other financial software is a plus.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
