Summary

Responsible for management and control of all financial processes and information pertaining to HMH UAE & Saudi entities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement and administer relevant corporate accounting and reporting policies and procedures.
  • Meet with relevant department managers to determine monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts to prepare a quarterly report.
  • Prepare monthly closing file for Country controller review along with variance analysis and commentary
  • Ensure all reporting to HQ is done with respective deadline, including FCCS monthly, quarterly, forecast, budgets reports,
  • Monitor performance of general accounting activities.
  • Assure timely, accurate administration of general accounts, accounts payable and receivable, expense and cost accounting and verification, staff payroll, fixed asset accounting, banking relationships accordance with company policies.
  • Oversee tax affairs related to UAE, KSA and Germany, principally the preparation of returns, taxation information required for projects, and tax registrations.
  • Supervisor support team in all accounting matters including coding for purchase orders.
  • Responsible for ICV and IKTVA support and finalization for UAE and KSA entities
  • Ensure accounting systems are operating so that company and statutory requirements are being held.
  • Ensure decisions of the Management Committee are communicated to all levels of the organization and are implemented.
  • Set the organization’s economic and financial standards and procedures and supply the necessary information for effective implementation and management.
  • Direct and review all periodic financial reports, including the annual financial reports according to Accounting Standards and IFRS.
  • Conduct economic analysis of forthcoming capital expenditures to give a clear and true picture of current and projected group businesses/options to senior management.
  • Manage consolidated financial monthly reporting to headquarters on time and according to local and international standards.
  • Coordinate with operations to forecast expenditure, revenues and cash flows.
  • Prepare investment planning and budgets.
  • Optimize debts and tax options.
  • Prepare for and efficiently coordinate internal and external audit processes.
  • Support strategic development, financial planning, budgeting and controlling.
  • Act as finance consultant/advisor to the senior management team
  • Participate in the decision-making process of overall goals of the organization.
  • Proactively and strategically deal with investment, bank relations, debt monitoring, insurance and tax issues
  • Prepare tax registrations of local subsidiary legal entities
  • Responsible for compliance with statutory periodical local filings
  • Drive the ongoing improvement of the entire function and its service delivery to internal clients
  • Manage bonds and guarantees if required
  • Manage MENA region Accounts Receivables (AR) and liaise with customer Finance Managers in the region including but not limited to proactive customer visits to minimize AR as much as possible
  • Ensure Business Risks are identified and mitigating actions are put in place in relation to Financial matters
  • Support ad hoc requests to local management and Country Controller MENA

Required Qualifications

  • Must hold finance professional qualified certificates CA,CMA, ACCA etc.
  • Ten (10)+ years’ experience in related industry including
  • Five (5)+ years’ experience in supervisory
  • Preferred experience as FP&A and accounting lead
  • Previous Experience in SAP S4
  • Ability to strategize, prioritize, plan and schedule organization activities to achieve short and long-range objectives
  • Excellent organization and follow up skills
  • Knowledge of business administration, management and financial principles
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines
  • Excellent customer service skills and attitude
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Extensive knowledge of the oil & gas drilling industry
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English
