General Summary
Responsible for preparing and serving a fresh and inviting presentation of the daily complimentary breakfast, giving a friendly greeting to each guest at breakfast and providing superior service to guests.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain the breakfast buffet in an attractive and abundant-looking, organized clean and standardized presentation.
- Extends a friendly greeting to each guest at breakfast.
- Provide personalized service to all guests.
- Take inventory of food, beverages and other supplies needed for each day.
- Order or purchase food supplies.
- Prepare foods such as cut fruit, coffee and juices etc.
- Stock, coffee, juice and milk containers.
- Set up serving dishes, utensils, cups and other paper/china products.
- Set out/arrange cold food such as sweet rolls, muffins and cereal for self service.
- Warm and set out/arranging hot food such as hashbrowns, frenchtoast, etc.
- Clear and clean tables as they are vacated.
- Wipe up spills.
- Sweep, mop and vacuum kitchen and dining areas.
- Remove trash.
- Periodically restock self-service food and supplies as needed.
- Wash china, flatware and serving equipment and return it to storage.
- Return reusable food supplies to storage.
- Organize and put away food order.
- Comply with health department rules and regulations with respect to handling, preparing
and storing food. * Perform additional assignments as required.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to develop an understanding of concepts, practices, pre-established guidelines and procedures used by the company in relation to guest service.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, be polite, courteous, and responsive to our guests.
- Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
- Must be organized and detail oriented.
- Must be able to bend, lift, push, carry and pull up to 50lbs.
- May require some reaching overhead, crouching, and twisting.
