HMDA / Loan Review Specialist

Job Description

We are looking to add a HMDA/Loan Review Specialist to our Loan Operations team! Under the direction of the Director of Loan Operations, this individual is responsible for reviewing all real estate mortgage loans before they are closed for accuracy and to insure they are compliant and written to policy, sell loans to the secondary markets, collect HMDA data, and submit the Bank’s annual HMDA submission. In addition this individual will assist in Freddie Mac Daily Reporting. Responsibilities Responsible for selling and shipping loans on the secondary market Serves as the primary Quality Control review for all real estate mortgage loans before they are printed to the loan officer, to ensure accuracy Responsible for reviewing all mortgage loans to ensure they comply with Federal regulations and loan policy Responsible for collecting data, overseeing and processing the Bank’s annual HMDA submission Perform all daily Freddie Mac reporting Review all Freddie Mac bulletins to ensure compliance is kept with the selling and shipping of Freddie loans Responsible for updating daily rates in all systems Provide training and/or communicate necessary information regarding shipping loans to the secondary markets to internal employees as needed Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Bachelor’s degree and/or specialist education/training in the field of secondary residential, commercial, and consumer lending 2-3 years lending or lending operations experience Must have thorough understanding of the loan operations department and its functions and workflow Must be familiar with FHLMC guidelines to ensure accurate delivery and selling loans Must be familiar with various regulations related to Consumer, Commercial, and Real Estate loans Good communication skills evidenced by 1) an ability to effectively communicate information in a clear and concise manner, and 2) a positive and approachable demeanor Strong organizational ability and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment Solid working knowledge of computer systems including loan processing software used to track and maintain loan information The Callaway Bank is an Affirmative Action / Equal Opportunity Employer.
