About The Role

As a Junior Regulatory Compliance Officer, you will act as primary Auxiliary Governance Officer (AGO) for Financial Control Division (FinCon) and works with the governance offices of the Bank (Compliance Office, Internal Audit, and Risk Management) in ensuring timely and satisfactory compliance to regulatory and internal requirements. Also, you will ensure prompt submission of requirements, replies to issues, as well as monitor resolution and compliance of internal controls within the units of FinCon.

How You’ll Contribute

  • Post-reviews critical external reports to ensure accuracy and timelines
  • Collaborates with units within FinCon to prepare and submit Quarterly Compliance Report to the Compliance Unit, which include, among others, compliance testing, escalation and immediate resolution of issues disclosed during compliance testing and major implications of new regulations
  • Conducts studies and disseminates new regulatory circulars and bank-wide policies to ensure awareness that will impact finance operations
  • Conducts studies on potential accounting treatments for new or unique transactions using PFRS accounting policies
  • Assesses business and finance operations risk through preparation and testing of Risk Control Assessment.(RCSA)
  • Collaborates with Compliance, Audit and Risk Management on matters related but not limited to: Control & Monitoring, IT Risk, Information Security, Business Continuity Management, Data Privacy, Compliance Risk etc., representing the group/division/unit
  • Other related tasks which may be assigned from time to time

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accountancy, or any related field
  • At least 2 to 3 years of experience in regulatory compliance, audit/taxation, controls and bank operations, and project management tools
  • With exposure on Regulatory Reporting (BSP, SEC, PSE, and BIR)
  • Updated with: New BSP memorandums and circulars, Philippine Accounting Standards, and Philippine Financial Reporting Standards
  • Can prepare assessment reports, presentations, and findings
  • With strong communication and coordination skills, assertive, detail and results-oriented
