About Our Client
Our client, a VC backed start-up, is an IoT “Internet of Things” company that is dedicated to providing Industrial AI Infrastructure by combining 5G private networks with edge computing power. They offer wireless data acquisition services, and deliver superior 5G+X experiences. Their core products cover both hardware and software, including 5G industrial gateway, access points, core network controller, edge cloud, etc. to help enterprise customers upgrade their industrial AI Infrastructure towards business digital and intelligent transformation. Clients range from manufacturing, mining, ports, warehousing and logistics, etc.
With their recent fund raise, they are poised for significant growth and are looking for a visionary Managing Director (Sales) to build the regional team and drive their strategic initiatives.
Job Description
As the MD, you will be responsible for defining and executing the company’s vision and strategy, leading operational execution, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. You will work closely with the board of directors, investors, and key stakeholders to ensure the company meets its growth objectives while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Development: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing executive team. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the overall business strategy to drive growth, profitability, and market share in the IoT sector.
- Financial Management: Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to ensure the company’s financial health.
- Product Development: Drive innovation in product development to ensure that our offerings meet market needs and exceed customer expectations.
- Investor Relations: Manage relationships with investors and stakeholders, providing regular updates on company performance and strategic direction.
- Market Positioning: Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to enhance competitive positioning in the IoT landscape.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure operational efficiency across all departments while maintaining high standards of quality and service delivery.
- Partnership Development: Establish strategic partnerships with key industry players to enhance product offerings and expand market reach.
The Successful Applicant
- Masters in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering from a reputable university.
- Proven experience as a Head of Sales or MD within a technology start-up or IoT-related company.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles.
- Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, sales, product development, and operations.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of building effective teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
