Job Summary

Working in collaboration with Department Chair, Neurosurgery CDA and hospital leadership, the project manager will aid in projects relating to neurosurgical throughput and strategic growth.

Responsibilities*

  • Data collection and benchmarking.
  • Work on development of the new neurosciences center (Pavillion) at the direction of the chair and CDA.
  • Utilizes SBAR for communication, lean methodology for value creation and SWAT to determine strategies and subsequent tactics to achieve the vision for strategic growth.
  • Works with others to develop process improvements for the patient experience. Will staff committees that are related to strategic growth.
  • Envisions and develops robust Quality Analytics dashboards for services and faculty to track clinical activity and performance, catered to the specific needs of department specialties. Uses data to show trends and best practices.
  • Work with department leadership for creation of priority programs to facilitate expedited patient access for appropriate procedures with limited length of stay/follow-up needs.
  • Creation of standardized and reproducible market share and clinical activity reports for Neurosurgical programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in business or healthcare discipline.
  • 2 – 4 years of experience in healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strategy oriented, outcome-focused.
  • Ability to implement lean process within the healthcare arena.
  • Ability to analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and present to chair and CDA.

Desired Qualifications*

  • Experience in healthcare quality.
