Job Description
This role collaborates with the CME Manager and utilizes excellent organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills to serve as an advocate and liaison of the medical library. They champion learning and training programs, design curriculum and resource materials, generate analysis and reporting, and interface effectively across providers and stakeholders in coordination of essential CME resources and activities to ensure all annual goals are met. JOB FUNCTIONS Develop and maintain relationships with medical and APC residencies (both leadership and program membership) to foster a positive working atmosphere and support their recruitment/retention/accreditation efforts Manage system medical professional development resources and all NMHS medical library functions (including budgeting accountabilities).
Produce and report real time literature searches from provider requests and/or CME activity discussions.
Analyze and act on trends for research initiatives and provider/other healthcare professional’s requests for topic searches to assist in CME topic focus and to plan for future provider unit programming. Advocate for the CME provider unit with regional providers in the CCP (Connected Care Partners) and CIN (Clinical Integrated Network), along with internal administrators and physicians/advanced practice clinicians Manage the medical library budget and function within the NMHS system; Produce and report real time literature searches from provider requests and/or CME activity discussions.
Report trends in requests for topic searches by providers to assist in CME topic focus and plan for future provider unit programming content Create training materials and deliver CME and medical library instruction and education programs for physicians, advanced practice clinicians and other clinical support staff as needed. Prepare timely and accurate analysis and reporting as required for departmental use or regulatory surveys by tracking accreditation status of CME activities and providing timely and accurate notifications Manage the Cloud CME database/system – specifically responsible for all enduring materials/education resources. Survey, maintain updates and comply with applicable Local/State/National procedures & guidelines regarding all regulatory reporting requirements. Responsible for delivery of accurate and timely updates of this information to the CME Manager and the NMHS Director of Education. Exhibit excellent presentation/platform skills and effective adult learning techniques for assigned teaching content. Conducts needs assessments to determine needs and perform strategic planning for the medical library and all CME content programming Effectively interacts with medical residency and other NMHS leadership to promote CME services and resources for best practice professional development standards Determine CME activity needs and initiate action to meet those needs documenting program results Design presentations, resources, databases and documents as needed QUALIFICATIONS Education Education Level Education Details Required/Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in related healthcare field required.
