Job Description
As a Showroom Designer, you won’t just be selling products—you’ll be creating experiences and building relationships. You’ll guide clients through every step of their design journey, offering tailored solutions to fit their style, functionality needs, and budget. From helping craft the perfect kitchen to designing practical storage spaces, you’ll help Kiwis transform their homes into spaces they’ll love. From concept to completion, you’ll be their go-to for all things design.You will be responsible for:
- Client consultations based on their needs, design options, outcome for the project including budget requirements and specifications
- Identifying and advising on the selection of materials, fixtures, and finishes to ensure they meet client’s aesthetic goals and functional requirements
- Developing and presenting design concepts and providing accurate quotations based on agreed layout plans and drawings
- Managing paperwork from creating client orders and handling overall procurement processes to meet project/order requirements while ensuring that optimum levels of stock is maintained within the department
- Process purchase orders and liaise with suppliers and their representatives regarding product information, pricing, remedials and resolving supply delays by finding alternative solutions in a timely manner
- Coordinating stock checks and delivery for client orders ensuring that orders are accurately receipted and invoiced
- Liaising with project managers, installers, suppliers to ensure product specifications and timeframes are met
- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding status of orders including installations progress dates and providing exceptional after sales service care to clients.
- When needed, conduct site visits to do measurements, evaluate space layouts and assess issues that come up during or after install
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of quotations, client orders and producing reports as required for management review
You will need to have:
- At least 2 years in interior design, with a proven ability to create functional and visually appealing spaces
- Tertiary level qualification or equivalent in interior design, architecture or a related field is essential
- Proficiency in industry-standard design tools allowing you to craft detailed layouts and bring ideas to life
- Have a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Have a flexible can-do attitude and a willingness to always go the extra mile
- Proficient in the use of MS Office, advance computer skills
- Be able to cope under pressure especially when working to tight deadlines to meet both client and business needs

- This is a permanent full-time role, guaranteed 40 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday
