As part of the NHS Wales Executive the Network drives improvements in the quality and safety of perinatal care and support across Wales to deliver better and more equitable outcomes, access, and experience, reduced unwarranted variation, and improve population health.
The Role Of Senior Project Manager Will Involve
Supporting the Programme Manager and Network manager with the design and delivery of the work plans
Working closely with the Programme Manager; Network Manager; Clinical Leads, partners and wider Network team to develop systems of work that facilitate quality improvement and assurance
Monitoring and reporting against identified key performance indicators, using a variety of data sources
Responsibility for the overall progress of specified projects and use of resources, initiating corrective action where appropriate.
Leading in stakeholder engagement, and communication strategy.

The following duties will be discharged working closely with the Maternity & Neonatal Network Manager; programme manager and project stakeholders.
To identify and understand the needs of stakeholders, including the national networks, programmes and agencies, and provide sound judgement and diplomatic skills.
To establish effective reporting and review mechanisms to ensure projects delivery tangible improvements in maternity and neonatal services for the population of Wales.
To be responsible for the overall progress of the project and use of resources, initiating corrective action where appropriate.
To ensure key stakeholders are informed of progress through the preparation of programme reports.
To manage the project risks and develop contingency plans as and when necessary.
To manage and administrate support staff aligned to the programme.
To provide verbal and written reports as requested by NHS Executive, Maternity & Neonatal Network, Welsh Government, Maternity & Neonatal Network Leadership and Clinical Reference Groups and other programmes.
Secondment for 2 years due to funding.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
