Job Overview

We are a distinguished cybersecurity and IT compliance organization, committed to empowering enterprises in mitigating risks, enhancing security measures, and effectively managing insider threats through our advanced applications. We are seeking a seasoned compliance subject matter expert (e.g., ISSO/ISSM) to join our Customer Success Management (CSM) team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, client-oriented individual with extensive knowledge of various compliance frameworks and the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, dedicated to ensuring operational excellence and facilitating successful product adoption strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate thoroughly with internal teams and clients to comprehend specific governance requirements, objectives, and timelines to accurately scope work and define success criteria.
  • Leverage comprehensive knowledge of multiple cybersecurity control frameworks and government directives to meet governance requirements through our products. Stay abreast of updates in compliance frameworks and security directives to ensure alignment with the evolving cybersecurity landscape.
  • Attain mastery of our product suite, aligning compliance expertise to maximize customer utilization. Develop in-depth understanding of the product offerings and the broader cybersecurity domain to recommend enhancements and optimize adoption strategies.
  • Conduct engaging customer enablement sessions and deliver dynamic training to empower stakeholders, ensuring a thorough grasp of the tools and fostering enthusiasm for effective use. Collaborate with the technical team to create relevant training materials.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with government clients, acting as a reliable compliance advisor throughout the adoption process and nurturing product champions. Clearly articulate the value proposition of our solutions.

Required Skills

  • Profound understanding of various cybersecurity control frameworks and government directives.
  • Strong skills in information assurance consulting, client engagement, and relationship management.
  • Ability to facilitate dynamic customer enablement sessions and conduct effective end-user training.
  • Proficiency in translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop training materials and enablement resources for end-users.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a collaborative teamwork approach.
  • Willingness to travel, with an expected commitment of up to 25% if located outside the Washington DC area.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a compliance-focused role within either the US government or commercial sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
  • Expertise in cybersecurity control frameworks and US government directives (e.g., NIST 800-53 R4/R5, NIST 800-171⁄172, CMMC Version 2.0, OMB M-21-31, ICS 500-27).
  • Active security clearance or willingness and capability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Strong collaborative skills to engage effectively with technical teams.
