Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the strategic alignment of technology initiatives with overarching business aims, fostering operational excellence and customer contentment.
  • Make informed decisions on technology platforms, emphasizing a balanced approach to external solutions versus internal system development.
  • Supervise the design and execution of a robust IT infrastructure to address current and future operational needs.
  • Lead the integration of diverse technology platforms, ensuring fluid data movement among departments such as manufacturing, supply chain, and customer service.
  • Maintain rigorous standards for data governance, security, and compliance throughout business operations.
  • Manage the selection process and ongoing relationships with third-party technology vendors, ensuring they provide long-term value.
  • Initiate and oversee outsourcing strategies aimed at boosting efficiency while upholding quality standards.
  • Champion change management initiatives to promote the successful implementation of new technologies across the organization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in various departments to optimize technology solutions tailored to operational challenges.
  • Cultivate a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, teamwork, and continual advancement.

Required Skills

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in senior technology leadership roles within sectors such as tech-driven manufacturing, food, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or a related domain.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex, multi-departmental business operations and scaling technology teams.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the capability to effectively communicate with all organizational levels, from the operational teams to the Board of Directors.
  • In-depth knowledge of ‘buy versus build’ strategies, with a preference for leveraging external solutions while retaining the ability to develop essential internal systems.
  • Expertise in systems integration, data management, and vendor oversight, including long-term partnerships.
  • A strong history of managing organizational change to facilitate technology adoption.

Qualifications

  • Preferred experience in food manufacturing, CPG, or fulfillment, with a solid understanding of how technology can drive operational efficiency and growth.
  • Experience with managing multi-department budgets, including IT-related profit and loss (P&L).
