About The Team

The Sales Strategy and Operations Team ensures strategic oversight and seamless operational management of sales, pre-sales and post-sales teams across Stripe’s Go-To-Market (GTM) organization. The team looks after analytics and insights, operations, strategy and planning.

The Sales Strategy And Operations Team Supports Various Teams Across Stripe. The Business Analyst For Startups Will Work Directly With The Startups Sales Team. The Startups Sales Team Sells Stripe Solutions To New And Existing Customers. The Team Also Develops And Manages Relationships With Leading Venture Capital (VC) Firms And Accelerators And Their Portfolio Companies In Pursuit Of The Following Objectives

  • Identify the next wave(s) of innovation: Focus on recognizing the categories of startups that will lead the next technological advancements. Access to VCs and high signal startups helps Stripe “see around the corner.”
  • Influence market share: Work towards influencing Stripe’s market share of high signal startups to ensure strategic alignment with Stripe’s goals.

What you’ll do

This role will support the Startups sales team. The Startups sales team collaborates with numerous cross-functional and external stakeholders globally, including operations, data science, product and customer success.

This role will be focused on building business foundations and unlocking compelling insights for internal and external audiences in the startups space. You will analyze startups data, metrics and insights, contribute to the daily, monthly and quarterly cadence of the Startups team, and act as a subject matter expert around Stripe startup data, systems and processes through data analysis. You will build, refine and automate dashboards and reports that are intuitive and actionable, and design and operationalize tools/processes that are scalable and drive efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Build analysis and reports/dashboards using SQL, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Tableau, Salesforce and other internally developed systems for key reporting and planning needs for the Startups sales team
  • Assist in the development of weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews for external partners and internal stakeholders
  • Work cross-functionally to investigate and conduct analysis on partner opportunities
  • Triage, prioritize, and analyze data insights requests
  • Ensure quality of data and accuracy of downstream reporting through precise attention to detail
  • As a result of insights, identify and improve the usability and accessibility of insights from existing processes, systems and tools, in collaboration with respective development teams

Who you are

Minimum Requirements

  • 4+ years of work experience in investment banking, management consulting, business analytics, sales strategy/operations, business strategy/operations, data science and/or related domains
  • Strong analytical skills, business intuition and a structured approach to solving complex business problems
  • User-first mindset: Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with stakeholders, particularly in clearly communicating data insights and takeaways
  • Advanced SQL and Google Sheets modeling skills. Experience working with large data sets, especially in analyzing large imperfect data sets to creatively solve problems and creating scalable reports and dashboards or ad-hoc analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Salesforce
  • Familiarity with B2B sales and processes
  • Experience in Python and Tableau
  • Interest in startup businesses, including a sense of empathy for the founder journey
  • Aptitude in technology in order to develop strong command of the Stripe product suite

Hybrid work at Stripe

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $138,600 – $208,000. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
