Position Overview

The People and Culture Generalist at Hive Collective plays a pivotal role in nurturing a thriving workplace culture while ensuring seamless human resource operations. This role supports all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment to offboarding, while fostering employee engagement, development, and alignment with Hive Collective’s core values.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, organized, and people-focused professional with experience in HR operations, employee relations, and culture-building initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist with recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding new hires to create a positive first impression.
  • Performance Management: Support performance review processes, offering tools and guidance to managers to drive employee development.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, addressing workplace concerns and fostering a positive, collaborative environment.
  • Offboarding: Manage offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions and gathering feedback to improve employee experiences.

Culture and Engagement

  • Champion initiatives that promote Hive Collective’s values, drive engagement with the Hive Employee Community.
  • Be a trusted advisor for Hive Team Members and leaders.
  • Act as a Hive cultural champion, building strong relationships across departments to enhance communication and collaboration.
  • Support leadership in creating an inclusive workplace that values employee contributions and growth.

HR Operations and Compliance

  • Maintain and update HR systems (e.g., BambooHR, Toast, Paychex) for accurate recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Administer employee benefits, including enrollment, communication, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Partner with the Finance team to process payroll accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and organizational policies through regular audits and policy updates.

Learning and Development

  • Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating professional development programs for employees.
  • Provide resources and coaching to managers to strengthen leadership skills and team effectiveness.
  • Be willing to jump into new areas of learning, supporting the Hive People team where needed.

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR generalist or people and culture roles.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., BambooHR, Paychex) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus
