Job Description

Purpose of Classification

Assists with maintaining all program systems, activities and relationships with children and families, community resources and agency staff for the Nutrition Service Area Program to ensure the integrity of the services provided.

Essential Functions

The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Assists the Nutrition Coordinator in ensuring all Head Start, USDA-CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program), ODJFS (Ohio Department of Jobs & Family Services), City and County Health Department regulations are followed. Reviews Daily Attendance & Meal Count Record (DA/MCR) (Food Report) paperwork for accuracy, compiles and completes tally sheet on Excell spread sheet and submits to Nutrition Coordinator. Compares DA/MCR paperwork to information in Child Plus for consistency. Reviews Enrollment Forms when submitted each month and keeps track of missing forms. Assists with gathering nutrition information from Child Plus for PIR (Performance Indicator Report) and monthly reports. Inputs heights and weights into Child Plus. Assists with reviewing food and non-food invoices, charging to Purchase Orders and submitting to Nutrition Coordinator. Assists in reviewing and entering e-time if Nutrition Coordinator is unable to.

Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma and Data Utilization knowledge is required. Experience in the area of nutrition or preventive health and experience working around young children is beneficial.
