Location: Adelaide

About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated professional to plan, schedule and ensure smooth operations by leaning on their experience in a similar role within the transport and logistics sector. If you’re ready to contribute to a dynamic team, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Management and delegation of tasks to direct reports.
  • Initiate, coordinate, and enforce operational and human resource policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Safeguard Workshop operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Sustain physical condition of the Workshop by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Complete Workshop operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and assessing work results.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant OH&S polices by leading by example, displaying safety awareness at all times, and ensuring conformity to housekeeping policy.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to foster a positive work environment and inspire employees and subcontractors to work safely, efficiently, and effectively to meet departmental performance criteria, and contribute to team effort when necessary.

Skills And Experience

  • Trade Certificate in Heavy Diesel Mechanics
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • High level of computer skills and high attention to detail
  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • Ability to interpret parts and orders
  • Current Australian drivers licence (HR)
  • Forklift licence preferable
  • Excellent customer service skills and communications skills
  • Experience using Cummins Insite and Mack software would be advantageous
