Schedule: Full Time Days

Shift: Monday through Friday 8am – 5pm

The Role You’ll Contribute

Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. The Patient Imaging Navigator guides and helps imaging patients navigate the health care system ensuring their healthcare needs are met. Will be experienced handling a wide range of administrative and scheduling duties interfacing with doctors’ offices, patients, and facilities.

  • Facilitates communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure patient satisfaction and quality of care.
  • Builds working relationships with doctor’s offices and patients.
  • Guides and helps patients navigate the health care system, ensuring their healthcare needs are met.
  • Reads patient’s results in the EMR.
  • Identifies all the imaging results from the Radiologist that require further follow-up and coordinates the scheduling of the Radiologist’s recommendations.
  • Contacts each patient’s provider to communicate the follow-up action recommended by the Radiologist and provides details to ensure an order is needed and then subsequently scheduled when provided.
  • Documents all action taken in the tracking database system, including details regarding the Radiologist’s recommended follow-up appointments scheduled.
  • Schedules and coordinates patient referrals as needed.
  • Follows up on appointments that were canceled to obtain explanations and reschedules. Enters information into the tracking database system and notifies the primary caregiver when appropriate.
  • Responds to patient, physician, and facility inquiries, obtaining, verifying, and accurately entering all patient information. Keeps management appropriately informed of activities and significant problems.

Education And Experience Required

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • One to three years previous hospital or medical office experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in business or health-related field.
  • Previous imaging office experience preferred.
