Location: In Office FLSA Status: Full-Time, Exempt Job Summary: This position is responsible for all field and shop operations. The scope of the job includes managing the P&L’s for the departments all the way down to execution at the field and shop level. Functions such as accounting, human resources, safety and process improvement are there to support Operations but do not report directly to the DOO. Key Job Responsibilities: 1) Manage the Shop and Field Service P&L’s. 2) Identify opportunities for growth and collaborate with account managers to capitalize. 3) Process improvement – Identify weaknesses in our processes and implement change to improve. Additional Responsibilities: Hire and coach employees to meet their personal goals and company goals. Managing utilization of employees. Forecasting monthly sales, gross margin and income on a 12-month horizon. Controlling direct and indirect costs. Quote projects properly to maintain client relationships and maximize profitability. Maximizing utilization of equipment. Manage projects to ensure quoted margins are achieved or improved upon. Support and champion company identified growth opportunities. Hire and coach employees to meet their personal goals and company goals. Create and document processes where needed and drive adherence to those processes. Safety – The goal is zero recordable injuries. [This will require leadership and involvement in day to day safety activities. Communicate with clients regularly to ensure we are exceeding their expectations. Additional projects as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledgeable of rotating equipment (turbines, compressors, valves, engines) repairs and maintenance. Proven industry leadership; recognized by internal and external peers. Strong ability to identify, prioritize, and organize Field Service and Shop Repair work. Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment. Prior experience creating quotes and field service schedules. Education and Experience: 4-year technical or financial degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of related job experience. 5+ years’ experience in rotating equipment preferred. 5+ years’ experience managing employees. 5+ years’ experience managing complex projects Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Able and willing to travel to various work locations and client sites up to 50%. Able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
