The UCLA Geriatric Medicine Program is the largest Geriatric Medicine Program in the United States and regularly produces leaders in the field and UCLA faculty. Our Division and Fellowship are spread across three health systems (UCLA, VA, Harbor), creating a high level of complexity for onboarding and exiting fellows. We have a 1 year Fellowship program and Coordinator will be responsible for onboarding fellows, exiting fellows and prospective fellows simultaneously. The Coordinator also has to make the Fellowship schedule, run the weekly lectures and monthly journal clubs for the fellows and assist with navigating ACGME requirements. The Coordinator will also be responsible for assisting the Program Director on various administrative tasks including keeping track of fellow location and hours under tight deadlines. The position requires a person who can multitask smoothly, who can work independently, and who has the judgement to know when to ask for guidance. Salary: $32.76 – $49.65 hourly
Qualifications
REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s Degree in related and/or equivalent experience/training
- 1+ years experience coordinating an educational program(s) in an academic medical center or other relevant experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and web based applications
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to interact collegially with faculty, staff, learners and outside contacts to carry out the mission of the educational program(s) or initiative(s)
