Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the incumbent will provide general administrative and laboratory support to basic research activities in the Laboratory of Retinal Function and Dysfunction at the UCLA Stein Eye Institute.

Qualifications

Required

Ability to work in a collaborative environment

Previously experience working in a research laboratory

Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint B

Ability to utilize an IBM PC and Mac B

Skill in data and database management

Ability to interact and communicate effectively

Ability to prioritize activities with conflicting deadlines

Strong organizational skills

Preferred

Ability to write concisely and clearly, edit, and proofread to ensure

grammatically correct and factual correspondence

Bachelor’s degree in life science (not including psychology). All Preferred

Ability to take initiative and work on a self-directed basis with limited supervision
