The Role

Responsibilities

The R&D Manager is responsible for designing, developing, innovating baked and prepared food (creation of Menu) and ensuring the smooth transfer of know-how and technology to other departments involved in the implementation. He/She will lead the team in achieving the highest approval ratings on product bids conducted by the clients.

Ideal Profile

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in food science and/or Graduate of Culinary Arts.
  • Must possess a minimum of 10 years exposure on product development or as an Executive Chef with identified technical proficiency and exposure to a wide variety of experiences in baking and food preparation.
  • Computer Literacy, working knowledge on quality systems and food safety a must have.
  • Candidate must be passionate about food. Has a through knowledge of baking and food preparation and presentation.
  • Candidates mush have above average culinary arts skills that enables him to develop prepared food. (Sandwiches, pasta salads, soup and the like)
  • Must have a good grasped and working knowledge on food mathematics and economics.
  • Candidate must able to deal with all aspects of product development from client’s need analysis, production solution conceptualization through finalization and scale-up from the laboratory through production.
