Job Description

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Assistant plays an important role within the finance department, collaborating closely with bother AR/Financial Assistants, Financial Controllers and Financial Analysts. Reporting directly to the Accounts Receivable Team Lead. The AR Assistant is responsible for the accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate data entry and providing excellent expertise in customer support.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively engage in the accounts receivable processes by processing AR transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and send invoices to the customers, actively engage in any other specific requests related to AR matters and maintain accurate records of these.
  • Manage individual accounts and ensure accuracy in the daily booking of the transactions (credit card, PayPal, bank).
  • Conduct daily and weekly follow-ups on communication with customers and partners to ensure excellent assistance and track payments.
  • Ensure daily and weekly reconciliations of the accounts receivable accounts (AR) in all relevant AR platforms.
  • Assist with monthly closing procedure, provide daily support to the accounts receivable team and any other team member of the Finance team.
  • Engage in regular discussions with other finance team members to evaluate the AR processes and propose improvements.
  • Assist in training co-workers in customer support and accounts receivable processes.

Qualification:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Economics, Quantitative Finance, or equivalent.
  • General Work Experience: Ideally, 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, with a preference for candidates who have worked in an international environment.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to work both independently and as part of the team, excellent proficiency in English (both written and spoken), advanced knowledge of MS Office, excellent attention to detail.
  • Additional requirements: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
