Job Summary

Assist Mail Distribution Lead in all facets of Mail / Goods that are received and distributed. Responsible for handling and processing all mail, international, domestic (all carriers). This includes sorting in-coming mail, inter-departmental mail, notices and memorandums for accurate and timely distribution.

Major Responsibilities

  • Forwards mail to new addresses. Delivers all mail. Selects, picks and delivers goods to required locations.
  • Picks up mail at local Post Office. Receives incoming deliveries. Receives certified/registered/insured/express mail from the Post Office. Receives and unloads incoming goods delivered to the receiving warehouse. Checks goods for discrepancies and damages; reports to supervisor.
  • Traces lost packages/all carriers. Determines the most cost effective way to process outgoing mail.
  • Ensures that all equipment is maintained. Operates all equipment that is necessary to maintain an efficient mail distribution operation. Assists with the physical inventory of goods that are located in the warehouse storage area.
  • Conducts nightly paperwork on overnight packages. Maintains daily delivery and closing logs and reports. Assists in maintaining filing systems. Filling the postage meter. Keeps updated mail files.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Experience

  • 1+ Years: Prior mail operation and receiving preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

  • Florida Driver’s License required.
