Key Responsibilities
- Develops software solutions by studying information needs, systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; Following the software development lifecycle.
- Develops features across multiple subsystems within our applications, including collaboration in requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, cybersecurity, dev ops, testing and deployment
- Understands how our applications operate, are structured, and how our customers use them.
- Provides engineering support when building, deploying, configuring and supporting systems for customers.
- Collaborates with Internal stakeholders to define plans for standardising, scaling and enhancing our products and the services utilised to deploy/install/release those products.
- Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing technical and user manuals, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
- Maintains and improves existing codebases and peer reviews code changes
- Liaises with colleagues to implement technical designs, investigating and using new technologies where relevant
- Implements job tasks by reviewing project proposals and quotations; conferring with management.
- Implements job tasks to comply with specifications by studying product design, customer requirements and budget.
- Validates product or system performance by designing and conducting tests.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant software engineering experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of secure software design and cybersecurity principles
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages
- Strong organisational skills
- A collaborative mindset that thrives in a multidisciplinary team and fostering a quality-driven environment
- Knowledge of and experience in the new energy economy
