Job Description
The candidate for this position will maintain a continuous state of alertness and awareness to control and secure the facility, equipment, customers, visitors, and staff. The Security Manager will operate within legal constraints and contract agency stipulations in order to maintain the security of the facility and safety of all onsite personnel.
Major Duties Include
- Supervise the day to day security operations of a facility
- Check I.D.’s of all guest entering the premises, with specific focus on the age limit of all guest after 9pm
- Build, improve and maintain effective relationships with both clients and employees
- Ensure all required reporting and contract compliance requirements are met
- Handle any escalated security issues or emergency situations promptly and appropriately
- Work with on-site detail police to handle any situation that may arise and ensure saftey of guest and staff
- Fill out insident reports for any and all insidents that may occur during your shift
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of security/door experience (prior military/police experience highly desirable)
- Ability to conduct Risk Assessments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in basic computer skills
- Ability to quickly learn the layout of the facility, function rooms, and some knowledge of the city and surrounding areas
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Valid driver’s license with no suspensions or revocations within the past 7 years
- Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift
- Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances
- Must have the ability to communicate in English
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Strong time management experience required with the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills required
- Ability to work in a team-oriented management environment with the ability to work independently
- Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous priorities, complex situations, a diverse team of employees and client requirements on an ongoing basis
