About The Role
As the Event Assistant, you will assist with administration duties, support the delivery of rehearsals, and other production requirements to support major departmental programs Creative Generation – State Schools Onstage (CGEN), Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Instrumental Music (MOST) and Creative Generation Choral Fanfare (Fanfare) and specifically ensure a smooth, efficient and effective CGEN show week.
Responsibilities Include
- Assist in the dissemination of project and event information including music books, teaching and music resources to teachers, parents, students and key stakeholders.
- Support the Operations Manager in the delivery of various operational elements, including the preparation of various planning and logistical documentation.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with the Programs and Events team and contractors to ensure the success of event delivery.
- Liaise with teachers, parents, students and stakeholders to organise elements of the event as required. Rehearsals and performances will often be scheduled on weekends and outside of normal working hours.
- Perform any other duties as required by the production team for the successful delivery of CGEN and other events delivered by the Programs and Events Unit.

- Willingness to obtain first aid training (annual training provided)
- Experience in Microsoft Suite
- Driver’s license and access to a vehicle (desirable, not mandatory)
