Ritsema Law is a multi-state workers’ compensation insurance defense law firm providing representation to clients in Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, Montana, and New Mexico. We are seeking a 1-4 year litigation associate, licensed to practice in the state of COLORADO, for our Fort Collins, Colorado office. This is a full-time (hybrid) attorney position based out of the firm’s Fort Collins law office. Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Provide legal advice to clients
  • Conducting research
  • Negotiating on behalf of clients
  • All aspects of litigation preparation, including discovery
  • Obtaining and reviewing medical records
  • Preparing expert and lay witnesses for testimony in court

The right candidate for this position possesses the following skills:

  • Salary range for this position is $95,000 – $125,000/year depending on experience

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Experience with general liability defense and workers’ compensation subrogation is not required but is a plus
  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice law in the state of Colorado
  • Proven experience in legal research, writing, and analysis
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
  • Experience with drafting and reviewing legal documents
  • Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills
  • Familiarity with case management software is a plus
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients
