About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of our Transactions Department. This role focuses on ensuring timely and accurate updates of deal data across Private and Public Markets, managing a team of 15-20 professionals. It requires expertise in various financial transactions, including startup investments, IPOs, listed debts, and more. Additionally, this role will be responsible for identifying new data points across different investment types to enhance our transaction database, improving data insights and relevance.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations within the Transactions Department, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant updates of all deal-related data.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of 15-20, fostering a collaborative, positive, and productive work environment.
- Data Innovation and Enhancement: Identify and define new data points to capture emerging investment trends (e.g., ESG investment metrics, startup innovation funding to maintain a comprehensive and relevant database.
- Process Automation and Efficiency: Identify and implement opportunities for automation within data processing and team workflows, reducing manual tasks and improving overall accuracy and efficiency.
- Planning and Execution: Develop and execute strategies to optimize team performance and operational efficiency, ensuring maximum output aligned with business goals.
- MCA Filings Expertise: Demonstrate a strong understanding of Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) filings, with knowledge of specific forms, their purposes, and data extraction techniques to ensure accurate transaction documentation.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to maintain data accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and maintain productive relationships with external industry experts or data verification sources as needed for accurate deal information.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine operational processes to improve productivity and reduce turnaround times.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting: Regularly monitor and analyze team performance against KPIs, preparing reports and actionable insights for senior management to support strategic goals.
Qualifications And Experience
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) or Company Secretary (CS) preferred; candidates with degrees in Business, Finance, or related fields will also be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in operations management, ideally within financial services or a transactions-focused environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of various deal types, including venture investments, IPOs, private equity, listed debt instruments, and capital markets transactions.
- MCA Filing Proficiency: Familiarity with MCA filings and processes, including knowledge of specific forms, their purposes, and data extraction practices.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record in managing teams effectively with a focus on productivity, quality, and team engagement.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to monitor and improve operational metrics and team performance.
- Data-Driven Mindset: Experience in identifying and implementing new data collection practices for deeper insights.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
