The Medicine Division is looking for an Information Analyst to play a crucial role in the Divisional Management Team. The Division has 1,800 staff supporting 15 specialties, including Emergency Medicine, Acute Medicine, Care of the Elderly and Cardiology.
The post holder will provide an informatics service to operational/ specialty teams within the Division, providing a critical function in delivering data and analysis for projects, ad hoc queries and business as usual submissions.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a senior member of the Medicine Division providing an information service to key stakeholders and information users within the Division.
The role is customer orientated with strong links to operational and decision-making areas within the Trust. The post holder will provide a critical function supporting the development of transformation of data into information. From assisting in projects to supporting with ad hoc queries, the post holder will be part of how the division will mature.
This post requires specialist technical knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Products, MS SQL and other relevant Business Intelligence technologies in order to provide the analytical function.
As part of the role the post holder will also be a Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing expertise for the division in key knowledge areas of the hospital function, whether this is operational, financial or corporate.
