Providing service and installation for HVAC mechanical systems and building automation systems. Working in commercial offices, light industrial, hotel & hospitality, health care and critical facility operations. We are looking for a Controller to be part of our growing organization: At Tryg Group the Controller is responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of the company, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and timely financial reporting. This role will supervise the accounting team, manage financial statements, budgets, audits, and ensure that the company’s financial practices align with industry regulations and best practices Job Title: Controller Pay Scale: $105,000 – $150,000 per year, depending on experience Pay Type: Exempt / Salaried Work Hours: 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday Work Type: Full Time Benefits: Medical, Dental and Vision insurance 90% paid for employee and 50% paid for dependents 3 weeks / 120 hours of paid vacation accrued per year 7 Paid holidays + flex days 401K with 4% match Bereavement time Aflac insurance options $75 phone reimbursement per month Job Responsibilities: Foster teamwork and camaraderie within the administration and finance teams Oversee day-to-day responsibilities related to banking, insurance, and taxation, ensuring compliance and timely transactions Promote and maintain accurate and consistent financial reporting standards across the organization Develop and enhance efficient and consistent processes for: Monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts Month-end and year-end closing procedures Continuously review and improve accounting procedures to increase efficiency and reduce errors Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements Conduct monthly job reviews with Project Managers and the leadership team to assess project financials, profitability, and potential areas for improvement Provide daily support to owners and Project Managers, serving as a resource for complex accounting transactions and financial decision-making Lead efforts to create a positive customer experience, ensuring that all team members contribute to solution-oriented, long-term customer relationships Oversee the allocation and management of financial and physical resources. Administer hiring, training, and development of team members, focusing on effective resource utilization and staff development Actively pursue company-sponsored training opportunities to continually develop and expand expertise in accounting and financial management Maintain strong, professional relationships with peers, management, and support teams. Uphold a commitment to teamwork and high standards of customer service Perform any additional tasks assigned by leadership efficiently and professionally Qualifications / Skills: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or CPA 7 + years of work-related experience in the accounting field Management experience preferred QuickBooks experience Advanced with Microsoft Office Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills Organized with time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Provide directions to and resolve problems Ability to identify deficient work and provide resolution HVAC or Construction or similar industry experience desired Candidates will be required to pass a drug test upon being given a conditional offer of employment Check us out online: controller, accounts, billing clerk, accounting jobs, admin jobs
