Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver dynamic and informative instruction within the Medical Assisting program, ensuring a comprehensive educational experience for students.
  • Facilitate bi-weekly live sessions through Zoom to provide interactive and supportive teaching.
  • Maintain an adaptable schedule for office hours and individual meetings to support students’ academic journeys.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback on assessments, projects, and classroom participation.
  • Actively engage with students facing challenges to promote their involvement and success.
  • Keep precise records of student attendance and academic performance, submitting final grades per university policies.
  • Participate in faculty gatherings, training, and continuous professional development to remain informed about educational best practices.
  • Stay abreast of industry advancements and teaching techniques to ensure high-quality instruction.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as outlined by university guidelines.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Allied Health or a related discipline is mandatory.
  • A Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Allied Health Management, Public Health, Medical Science, or a similar field is highly regarded.
  • A minimum of 5 years of recent experience as a Medical Assistant or in a related capacity is required.
  • Preferred certifications include: CCMA, CMAA, CMA (AAMA), RMA.
  • Previous online teaching experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • A commitment to participating in required faculty training prior to commencement of teaching is expected.
