Candidate must have 1 to 5 yrs experience in cargo / Logistics / Transport industries. Candidate must have knowledge in operation.

  • Check in with the Yard Controller/In charge before starting work to discuss the daily plan with the Shift Controller.
  • Ensure each load man handles a minimum of eight tons of materials during their shift.
  • Organize all Goods Certificates (GCs) in the proper sequence before unloading begins.
  • Place stock materials correctly according to the designated markings.
  • Count all items as per the Load Receipt (LR) and mark the corresponding tick on the LR (Cargo copy).
  • In case of damages or shortages, manually prepare a station complaint, record it in the FMS, inform the Shift Controller, and obtain the driver’s signature. Inspect any damaged goods and take steps to prevent further damage.
  • For discrepancies in partial items, GCs, or consignments, prepare a station complaint, notify the Shift In charge, and ensure the driver signs the document.
  • Upon completing unloading, close the TLUS with the required signatures and fill out the ULS, which should include vehicle number, the number of GCs, articles, unloaded weight, the Yard In charge’s name, the number of personnel involved, stacker, and start/end times of unloading.
  • Affix the inward date seal on all GCs after unloading and place them in the designated rack.
  • Ensure GCs are arranged in sequence for easy identification and retrieval.
  • Follow the FIFO (First In, First Out) method, giving priority to bookings based on their arrival dates.
  • Ensure all consignments are properly labelled; if any items are missing labels, take necessary actions to mark them.
  • Securely stack all consignments to prevent any damage during storage.
  • Record damages or shortages by preparing a station complaint both manually and in the FMS. Handle damaged items carefully during loading to avoid further issues.
  • Hand over all loaded GCs to FMS staff, ensuring they are accurately counted and verified by both the Load/Delivery staff and FMS staff for the preparation of the dispatch sheet.
