Key Responsibilities

• Share personal recovery experiences while guiding others in utilizing recovery tools effectively.
• Assist individuals in recognizing their inherent resilience and strengths.
• Facilitate connections between individuals and their community, promoting engagement and support.
• Aid individuals with mental health and substance use challenges in building a robust support network.
• Empower individuals to make independent choices and actively participate in their treatment journey.
• Collaborate as a member of the treatment team, contributing insights on client Wellness Plans.
• Engage in training, shadow experienced personnel, and gradually transition into client-facing roles until full certification.
• Provide transportation assistance to clients as needed; driving is an essential duty of this position.

Qualifications

• Must identify as a current or former consumer of behavioral health or substance use services.
• Completion of a state-approved training program and successful certification within 60 days of hire.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license along with the agency’s minimum automobile insurance requirements.
• A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
