Medical Insurance Collections Specialist (REMOTE)

What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Follow up on invoices sent to payers that have not yet been paid
• Research denials and work towards converting them
• Process at least 5 claims per hour while managing a portfolio of payers
• Assist with billing efforts by eliminating denials and keeping payer rules updated
• Meet daily, monthly, and quarterly collection goals set by management

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience in Medical Insurance Collections or healthcare customer service
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Strong basic math and accounting skills
• Proven ability to manage work in a high call volume environment with accuracy and efficiency
