Position Summary
This position is part of a growing Fan Acquisition and Engagement team at the WNBA, with the goal of growing the overall WNBA fanbase, enhancing the fan experience, improving internal processes to make our digital marketing efforts more efficient, and ensuring we can activate on fan data. The CRM Campaign Coordinator will support our team in executing marketing campaigns that drive and encourage fan engagement via Email channel. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for basketball and creating unique, impactful marketing campaigns.
You will be responsible for developing and deploying email campaigns that welcome new fans and cultivate increased fan engagement across products while reducing overall churn. Successful candidates will be able to develop and execute comprehensive campaigns to drive key fan actions. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the WNBA.
Major Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end email execution for all tentpole and regularly-scheduled communications – including copywriting, design briefing, scheduling, and performing quality assurance tests to ensure messages render/deliver correctly
- Create and manage email deployment calendar in alignment with overall league + marketing team objectives
- Work directly with creative teams for asset requests through development to final approval
- Communicate email campaign results clearly and effectively to team stakeholders
- Know our data sources and architecture, and understand how they impact customer segmentation and marketing enablement, in order to develop audience/segmentation strategies and tactics
- Leverage multivariate testing methodology to quickly test, iterate, and push forward the most impactful efforts
- Connect with marketing analytics to gain learnings and define areas of improvement
Required Skills/Knowledge
- 1-2+ years of experience in CRM and/or lifecycle marketing
- Broad knowledge of all aspects of CRM and Lifecycle Marketing; including channels (email, in-browser message, etc.), data management, execution, reporting, tools/platforms/technologies, etc.
- Prior experience building and executing campaign testing programs
- Experience working with Email Service Providers (preferably Braze), as well as related technology providers (e.g., Movable Ink; Wunderkind)
- Intermediate understanding of HTML and CSS
- Operates independently and efficiently to balance multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously and successfully without sacrificing attention to detail
- Well-rounded understanding of email compliance and privacy standards
- Willingness to take on operations/execution
- Strong knowledge of WNBA

- Bachelor’s degree required
Salary Range: $2,692.30 – $3,076.92
