Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Analysis:
- Develop structural designs for STP, WTP, and other infrastructure projects using engineering software and tools.
- Perform structural analysis to assess the integrity and stability of designs under various loads and conditions.
- Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with Civil engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between structural design and overall project goals.
- Participate in project planning and development meetings to provide technical input.
- Site Inspections:
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and verify that work is being performed according to approved designs and specifications.
- Identify and resolve any structural issues that arise during construction.
- Documentation:
- Prepare detailed design calculations, specifications, and reports for project documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of structural assessments, inspections, and modifications.
- Compliance:
- Ensure that all structural designs comply with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Stay updated on industry standards and best practices to incorporate into design processes.
- Problem Solving:
- Analyze structural problems and propose innovative solutions to overcome design challenges.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and site personnel.
- Project Management Support:
- Assist in managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Communicate project updates and challenges to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering, civil engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD Pro).
- Strong knowledge of building codes, design standards, and safety regulations.
Additional Information
Preferred Skills
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
- Experience with advanced modeling and simulation techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Working Conditions
- Ability to work on construction sites, including exposure to various weather conditions and safety hazards.
- Occasionally, travel may be required to different project sites.
