Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Analysis:
    • Develop structural designs for STP, WTP, and other infrastructure projects using engineering software and tools.
    • Perform structural analysis to assess the integrity and stability of designs under various loads and conditions.
  • Project Coordination:
    • Collaborate with Civil engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between structural design and overall project goals.
    • Participate in project planning and development meetings to provide technical input.
  • Site Inspections:
    • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and verify that work is being performed according to approved designs and specifications.
    • Identify and resolve any structural issues that arise during construction.
  • Documentation:
    • Prepare detailed design calculations, specifications, and reports for project documentation.
    • Maintain accurate records of structural assessments, inspections, and modifications.
  • Compliance:
    • Ensure that all structural designs comply with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
    • Stay updated on industry standards and best practices to incorporate into design processes.
  • Problem Solving:
    • Analyze structural problems and propose innovative solutions to overcome design challenges.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and site personnel.
  • Project Management Support:
    • Assist in managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Communicate project updates and challenges to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD Pro).
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, design standards, and safety regulations.

Additional Information

Preferred Skills

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with advanced modeling and simulation techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work on construction sites, including exposure to various weather conditions and safety hazards.
  • Occasionally, travel may be required to different project sites.
