Job Summary
The Scrum Master is a servant leader as part of an agile team. Scrum Master will share accountability for meeting the delivery of the shared body of work. Will be responsible for fostering an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement.
The Scrum Master will facilitate team level processes, oversee execution, escalate impediments so the team can reach its goals, coordinate as needed with other Scrum Masters and Product Owners. Scrum Master will coach agile practices and work collaboratively with agile teams and stakeholders to enable delivery of the products though well-executed iterations, providing insight on team’s activity and performance while encouraging accountability within and outside the team.
Requirements
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in technical or business discipline (Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field). In lieu of degree, five (5) years’ relevant experience will be considered.
LICENSING/CERTIFICATION
SAFe Agilist (SA) OR SAFe Practitioner (SP) Certification preferred, required within one (1) year.
Experience
Minimum three (3) years’ experience working as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, Project Manager, or equivalent, supporting teams in end-to-end implementation.
Experience with ServiceNow, AzureDevOps (ADO), or other software to manage agile programs.
Practical knowledge of various coaching tools in team management.
Proficient technical knowledge.
Understanding of Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, DevOps, etc.).
Demonstrated understanding of and experience using Agile methodologies, preferably SAFe.

Responsibilities
Assists team in identifying local stories, maintenance, defects, tech debt, and other needed work, Assists with Planning Interval (PI) Planning. Ensures team is briefed on upcoming Features and writes draft PI Objectives, Collaborates with other Scrum Masters and Release Train Engineers, Ensures all team events take place, are positive, productive and within the timebox, Facilitates the implementation of SAFe principles and practices, Guides team to achieve its goals, Guides team to find solutions independently, Identifies and eliminates bottlenecks to flow, Identifies and resolves cross-team impediments, Participates in, and facilitates, iteration events, Provides insight to team on methods beyond Scrum, such as Kanban, Flow, Built-in Quality, Serves as a lead to less knowledgeable/skilled Scrum Masters, Supports Iteration Execution

This position is identified as level three (3).
