Job Description
As a Database Administrator at CyberPoint, you will utilize your knowledge databases including Microsoft SQL Server, MariaDB and Postgres to create and maintain bash scripts to dump and load databases. You will also perform various maintenance tasks such as rebuilding indexes and updating statistics.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Perform basic database dump and load, transaction logging and performance tuning
- Maintain database integrity, security, availability and compliance with business processes throughout the life cycle.
- Performs disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance and monitoring.
- Evaluates and recommends database management system products.
- Performs database and application server administration.
- Organizes and formats data for efficient query and storage.
- Evaluates and recommends database management system products.

This position is 100% onsite.
To be eligible for this position, the candidate must hold an active TS/SCI+FS Poly security clearance.

Qualifications
What You’ll Need
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active TS/SCI+FSP Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of additional DBA experience on projects may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
- Seven (7) years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity
- Perform basic database dump and load, transaction logging and performance tuning
- Run SQL agent jobs for MSSQL, familiar with installing software on Linux platforms
- Redhat Ansible
- Identify management via Active Directory and Centify
- Use Salt to deploy config files to end nodes and do various interrogations (Ping, DNS)
- Ability to Request, Renew and Install/Update PKI certs. Convert from pkcs12 to various formats
- Basic familiarization with nLyte, NEO datacenter inventory management application
- NIFI- ability to automate dataflows between software systems
- Ranger/Docker – the ability to configure containerized applications. Primarily for distributed applications
- Kubernetes – the ability to configure open source platforms for container orchestration. Container management includes: app packing/scheduling, load balancing, storage orchestration, adv logging/monitoring/debugging
- Experience with Wazuh, Nxlog, Saltstack – deploy config files to end nodes and various interrogations, GIT and HAProxy load balancer
- Experience with Vcenter/Vsphere – Building VMs
