Who we are
Cloud Platform Engineering (CPE) is responsible for the stability, reliability, and deployment of TCGplayer.com technologies.. Our primary function is to increase the efficiency of the organization through well designed automation and infrastructure.
We are seeking a seasoned Technical Project Manager to become part of TCGplayer’s CPE team. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in leading complex technical projects from conception to delivery. As a Technical Project Manageryou will be responsible for assisting with the successful execution of project definition, intake, resourcing, management/execution, and related reporting, ensuring that they meet quality standards, are delivered on time, and within budget.

What You Will Accomplish
- Project planning and coordination: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Define project scope, objectives, and success metrics.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between technical teams, stakeholders, and management. Facilitate clear and effective communication to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and risk assessments.
- Resource Management: Coordinate resources and manage project schedules to ensure efficient allocation and utilization of team members.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and report on project progress, highlighting any issues or deviations from the plan (RAID Log generation and resolution, etc).
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and methodologies within the AWS Cloud Infrastructure team.
- Technical Understanding: Maintain a strong understanding of AWS services and cloud infrastructure concepts to effectively coordinate technical projects.
What You Will Bring
- 4-7 years of experience in technical project management, with a solid understanding of the functional interface between software development and infrastructure (*Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification preferred)
- Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget via a strong knowledge of project management principles, practices, and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban, PMI)
- High level understanding of infrastructure design, including network, data, and application architecture. Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and/or familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices preferred
- Excellent leadership, communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure while maintaining a good sense of humor – be flexible and understanding
