INVENTORY CONTROL MANAGER
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who takes initiative to get the job done.
The Inventory Control Manager is primary responsibility is vehicle inventory, managing vehicle repairs and reconditioning costs to prepare the vehicles for sale.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Checking in newly arrived vehicles. This involves closely assessing each vehicle for cosmetic and mechanical repair and estimating the cost of such repairs.
- Scheduling all repairs, including detailing, with vendors and following up to make sure repairs and detailing have been completed to our standard.
- Ensuring inventory reports are accurate and updated on a daily basis as the status of vehicles are updated.
- Maintaining a good working relationship with staff and vendors
- Other job duties as assigned by upper management including, but not limited to: moving vehicles on lot, lot audit, taking cars to/from auction.
Qualifications
- Experience working with vendors and meeting deadlines
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Strong communication skills to deal with vendors on support staff
- Proficient computer skills including standard business applications such as Microsoft Excel and ability to quickly learn new computer applications.
- Able to work hours as business needs dictate, which may include weekends
- A high school diploma or the equivalent is required
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean, insurable, driving record
- Pre-employment background check
- The ability to manage multiple projects at one time in an efficient and timely manner is important in this position
- Excellent work ethic; ability to work self-directed as a flexible team player.
- Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
