As the Head of Digital for the US & Canada region, you will serve on the USCA Management Team and the Global Commercial Digital Leadership team, representing the Commercial Digital and Digital Core needs of both markets. Additionally, you will be the site lead and people leader for a team of over 100 digital professionals in the Mahwah Tech Hub. You will need to be skilled in investigating US & Canadian market needs and convey them with commercial context to the global product teams and the Commercial Digital Leadership team. In partnership with global teams, you will decide where global products should be localized for the market, or where market-specific development should be allowed. Additionally, you will be responsible for the stability and operations of all products deployed within the region. Ultimately, your goal is to harness the global and regional digital tools to ensure that the US & Canada markets achieve their commercial goals.
What You’ll Do
- Forms close relationships with all departments within the US & Canada to understand the digital needs of the market, associated commercial context, and opportunities for future digitalization to drive the business forward.
- Builds relationships with global product teams to socialize regional needs, clarify requirements, and identify risks of market launches. Ensures Mahwah Tech Hub teams form relationships with global product teams at all levels.
- Identifies and plans the decommission of local/regional legacy solutions, where possible, with a preference to move to global platforms.
- Leads the development of regional product roadmaps that illustrate the work conducted within the region to localize global products and supplement where needed.
- Defines and monitors annual regional digital budget, aligned with both global Commercial Digital and the markets via the business planning process. Ensures that spending stays within budget frame throughout the year.
- Cultivates and develops teams of product managers, engineers and designers to be a high performing team. Regularly evaluates talent against global frameworks and executes annual performance management cycles.
- Investigates new concepts, partners, and approaches. Leads cross-functional teams to identify key strategic areas of opportunity and recommends digital solutions.
- Briefs and influences Americas executives to ensure full support of the development and execution of the digital strategy.
- Participates in the Retailer Advisory Board to support digital topics and conversations with our retailers.
- Develops problem statements and/or business cases to initiate the execution of strategic roadmap items.
- Holds teams accountable to execute upon global governance rhythms such as regular region support meetings.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor´s degree required, Master’s Degree a plus.
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in progressively senior digital roles
- At least 10 years of people leadership experience
- Ability to effectively describe difficult concepts and strategies, build consensus and problem solve across departments at an executive level
- Automotive experience and experience in an international organization preferred.
