Agency Summary
The purpose and mission of the Marion County Coroner’s agency is to investigate and determine a person’s cause and manner of death, particularly in cases when the individual died under unusual circumstances. The office consoles families, advocates for the deceased, and gives information to police and courts to prosecute suspected criminals. The agency strives to cultivate a productive, collaborative, and compliant work environment in order for our workforce to meet the needs of the citizens of Indianapolis and Marion County.

Position Responsibilities
- Performs cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Empties trash receptacles and disposes of waste in accordance with company policies.
- Clean and sanitizes restrooms, including toilet, sinks and fixtures.
- Refill restroom supplies such as soap, toilet paper and paper towels.
- Cleans windows, mirrors, glass surfaces.
- Maintains cleanliness in common areas such as hallways, lobbies, and break rooms.
- Monitors and replenishes cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
- Reports any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment. Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks. Good physical stamina and ability to lift/move heavy objects. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary. Commitment to maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
