Job Description
- Develop and implement operational strategies to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of all e-commerce fulfillment centers. Implement strategic initiatives to drive business growth.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the fulfillment centers, including inventory management, order processing, shipping, and returns.
- Lead a team of General Managers, Operations Managers and Supervisors to drive performance fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Finance, HR, Facilities, and IT to enhance operational efficiency that support business operations and growth objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety guidelines.
- Develop, direct, and manage operational budgets to optimize costs and maximize profitability and capabilities.
- Leverage external networks and contacts to maintain expertise in industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Operations Management, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
Knowledge Skills And ABILITIES
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple fulfillment centers is preferred.
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving measurable results in a high-volume e-commerce environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to drive employee engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage partners and external vendors who have major delivery responsibilities for projects and operations.
- Proven ability to lead change and influence others to drive change management.
- Experience working with e-commerce platforms and fulfillment systems is a plus.
Other Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 25% for fulfillment center site visits.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, bend, and move around the fulfillment center as needed.
- Ability to work flexible hours during peak seasons if needed.
