Key Responsibilities
- Implements employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer- employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale.
- Keeps supervisor informed of daily activities and issues.Proposes solutions to all issues.
- Must get along with co-workers; maintain effective relationships with management staff, employees and the general public.
- Must have timely regular attendance.
- Follows all company policies and procedures, state and federal law and regulations and charged with reporting violations to the appropriate supervisor.

- Implements and enforces policies and procedures promoting cost-effective, appropriate and safe medication use.
- Oversees administration of competence assessments for all pharmacy employees at least annually.
- Oversees development of budget for each pharmacy location.
- Manages an effective budget.
- Monitors workload statistics.
- Provides detailed reports relating to financial and operational targets.
- Provides accurate financial analysis of business.
- Monitors contract compliance and purchasing habits of individual pharmacies.
- Recommends resources needed for pharmacy locations.
- Implements pharmacy quality improvement activities.
- Maintains customer accounts.
- Facilitates knowledge sharing between supervisory, pharmacy, and support staffs.
- Participates in informational and social meetings with pharmacy and corporate members, physicians and customers.
- Maintains active membership in national, state and local pharmacy organizations.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to develop and implement operational plan in alignment with strategic objectives supporting the mission and goals of the organization.
- Ability to maintain current accounts and contribute to significant growth in market share
- Ability to implement staff development plan to meet budget goals and ensure employee competence and satisfaction
- Ability to implement and oversee a program that improves the quality of pharmacy services in alignment with the quality improvement plan of the corporation.
- Ability to establish productive, collaborative relationships within the pharmacy and corporate communities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Advanced computer skills
Minimum Education Required
Graduate ACPE accredited school of Pharmacy.
Minimum Experience Required
5-10 years of management experience
Minimum Licensure/Certification Required By Law
Licensure as Registered Pharmacist
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)
Board Certified as Geriatric Pharmacist (CGP) encouraged
