Job Description
In this Sales & Service Manager role, you will be responsible for sales to include qualifying opportunities through proactive selling, leads, personal site visits, and key clients. The role is also responsible for planning and servicing different clients/files per year which include, but not limited to, the coordination and execution of custom and intimate events such as: birthday parties, retirement parties, holiday retreats and local social and corporate functions. In addition, you will be responsible for growing the production of Food & Beverage revenue and actualized room nights.
This position reports to the Assistant Sales Director
This is a Full-Time role and will be working onsite in an office located at our breathtaking Aulani resort on Oahu, Hawaii
What You Will Do
- Conversion of sales opportunities and leads by assessing the client’s needs through the discovery process
- Work on proposals, contracts and addendum preparations; Work with support staff in delegation of day-to-day tasks
- Act as a client advocate while balancing the company’s perspective and business objectives; models honesty, integrity, and professionalism, with a strong commitment to Disney excellence
- Detailed planning, servicing and execution of Events
- Present ideas, expectations and information in a concise well-organized manner and effectively run meetings with clients
- Responsible for the increased production of F&B revenue and actualized room nights
- Responsible for the financial analysis to include comp set in the marketplace and profitability
- Accurately prepare individual F&B forecast in monthly timelines
- Prepare accurate detailed BEO’s and resumes
- Responsible for site inspections and planning sessions
- Direct liaison between the client/guest, vendors and resort operating departments
- Responsible for overall guest satisfaction of the event to include checking that what is reflected on the BEO is consistent with service delivery, introduction and turnover to the banquet team
- Responsible for keeping up to date on market trends, pricing and product offerings, viewing websites and using this information to ensure Aulani is positioned right in the market.
- Encourages mentoring and coaching of O&T cast, which includes Coordinators and support staff
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 3 years of proven strong work experience in hotel sales and/or guest service experience
- Demonstrated strong computer proficiency in MS Office and other work-related systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage high volumes of work, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Able to work flexible schedules and attend work events
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Highly motivated and devoted to achieving objectives
- Ability to develop personal sales plan
- Proficient with multiple computer systems
- Create and deliver well prepared sales presentations
- Excels in planning and determining course of action to achieve tasks
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work, interact and communicate effectively with peers and operating support departments to be a credible business partner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with key partners to problem solve and meet client needs
- Ability to use consultative approach by discovering and matching guest needs with our products and services, out of the box thinker
Preferred Qualifications
- Work experience in hospitality/travel industry sales
- Knowledge of Disney policies and procedures
- Strong knowledge of Disney offerings and within the competitive marketplace
Education
- Required: Minimum High School degree
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree

The hiring range for this position in Hawaii is $71,000-$95,100 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
